Australian women’s mountain running champion Vanessa Haverd showed her class with a scintillating win in today’s Mt Ainslie Run Up. The course was a bit slippery after overnight and morning drizzle but Haverd still clocked 12.45 to lead the field in to the summit. Aaron Coles was first male in 13.02, just ahead of Brad Hetharia on 13.13, with Simon Claringbold third in 13.35.
Louise Sharp, in training for the You Yangs ultra in 2 weeks, ran a solid 14.41, with Kerri Louttit third in 18.50.
