Gunnedah’s Peter Loveridge (pictured) produced a scintillating performance to set a new Bush Capital Marathon race record of 2.46.07, just one second faster than the awesome record run by Alex Matthews in 2009.

There was a record entry in the festival of 520 people, with almost 200 in the 16k and 100 in the 25k, plus record marathon and 60k fields.

The weather gods were kind, with no rain during the event except for a few light sprinkles.

Many thanks to all the helpers.

The barrel draws of two accommodation prizes at Olims hotel were drawn by Sports Medicine Australia Executive Officer Trish Donoghue. Trish treated 5 minor injuries on the day. The winning chest numbers were 617 (Alexandra Hunter) and L30 (Nicole Maher).
