The Eureka Climb is a race in Melbourne up Southbank’s 88 storey Eureka Tower, the world’s tallest residential tower. On Sunday 1,295 competitors took part and raised over $165,000 for disadvantaged children.
Australian mountain running champion Scott McTaggart from Canberra had an outstanding win in 8.30, with Victoria’s Adam Ryan runner up in 9.04, just 1 second ahead of Canberra’s Michael Hosking.
The Victorian Institute of Sport’s 2007 World Rowing champion Alice McNamara was fastest female in 10.29, with Olympic steeplechaser Victoria Mitchell second in 10.41 and former Australian mountain running champion Jessamy Hosking third in 11.04.
