Doyle and Sharp take out Kosciuszko Classic

In near perfect weather (fine, sunny, cloudless sky, slight breeze), Canberra runners Stuart Doyle and Louise Sharp took out the annual Kosciuszko Classic 4.8kms from the Snowy River bridge to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko to wrap up National Running Week at Thredbo.

In a disappointing field of 17 runners, former Australian mountain running representative Stuart Doyle, now an M40, led from start to finish to clock 22.11, with the Armstrong brothers Chad and Ryan from Sydney filling the placings in 24.14 and 24.46.

Accomplished long distance trail runner Louise Sharp was fastest female in 26.06, the fastest female winning time in some years, with Nadine Morrison second in 32.13 and Sue Tyson third in 38.49.
