Two Bays 28k and 56k

The Two Bays 56 km and 28 km trail runs across the Mornington Peninsular from Dromana to Bushrangers Bay and Cape Schanck had a sold out field of 500 runners and is now Victoria’s largest mountain run and trail run. The course includes the steep rise from sea level to 300m high Arthurs Seat.
Kevin Mannix took out the 56 km run in 4.48.15 from Michael Silvester in 5.06.14 and Stuart Elliott in 5.14.25. Australian mountain running representative Kate Siebold-Crosbie finished second outright in 5.03.11, with Kirstin Bull second in 5.23.41 and Mandy-Lee Scott third in 5.44.55.
Dan Hornery won the 28 km in 1.52.10 from Damien Angus (1.53.49) and David Venour (1.56.26). Colleen Middleton from Albury, 8th in the World Long Distance Mountain Running Championship in 2009, was fastest female in 2.16.14, with Natasha Fraser second in 2.18.47 and Bronwyn Humphrys, 8th in the 2010 World Junior Mountain Running Championship, was third in 2.20.42.
