The weather forecast is now looking good for this Saturday’s Bush Capital Bush Marathon Festival which raises funds to assist the Australian mountain running team.

The weather forecast for Saturday in Canberra now is:

Mostly sunny morning. Areas of morning frost. Patchy rain late in the evening. Winds northwesterly averaging 20 to 35 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to around minus 2 with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 16.

The event starts and finishes at Campbell High School sportsfield, corner of Treloar Crescent and Limestone Avenue, Campbell. The program is:

7.30am          60km ultra

8.30am          42.2km bush marathon; marathon relay

9.00am           16km bush run and 16km and 25km bush walks

9.30am           25km bush run

12.00pm        5km run and walk

12.40pm        Under 13 years 2km children’s run

1.00pm           10km run and walk

Online entries close at midnight tonight (Thursday 28 July). Late entries will be accepted for each event on Saturday up until 30 minutes before start time. See more details at
