Running in 32 degree heat on Sunday, the Australian junior women’s team has finished 4th in the World Mountain Running Championships in Albania, with Rosie Donegan 6th, Annabelle Wilson 10th and Bronwyn Humphries 20th. The junior men’s team was also outstanding, finishing 6th, with Dane Bird-Smith 15th, Jordan Nelson 27th after a fall at the start, Ben Duffus 37th and Charlie Brooks 50th (to be confirmed).
The USA mountain running team won double gold in the open age groups, Max King winning the men’s 12.7k race in 52.06 and Kasie Enman the women’s 8.6k in 40.39. See a full report at http://www.usmrt.com/usa-wins-double-gold-at-world-mountain-running-championships.
