Highlights of the day:
1. A sensational run by 2012 Australian Ultra Runner of the Year Brendan Davies who raced through the half marathon in 1.26.53, then the marathon in 2.58.41 before completing the Triple Half Marathon (63.3 kms) in 4.45.16.
2. A brilliant run by Swiss runner Jo Bourke Martignoni to be fastest female in the half marathon in 1.32.52.
3. An outstanding race walking effort by veteran race walker Robin Whyte to be fastest male in the half marathon walk in 2.29.51.
