World rogaining champions David Baldwin and Julie Quinn became the first husband and wife to win either the Mt Ainslie Run Up or Black Mountain Run Up in the one event. Both were backing up from the Tour de Ridges on Sunday and were untroubled by the warm conditions, Baldwin running 14.18, just managing to hold off Paul Stein by 6 seconds, with Shaun Ton third.

Quinn, 3rd female in the Tour de Ridges half marathon, ran 16.11, with visiting New Zealand student Heather Davidson 2nd in 16.56. Davidson was runner up in the Black Mountain Challenge 9 days ago and was 5th in the Tour de Ridges half Marathon. Louise Sharp was 3rd up Black Mountain.
