Alan Craigie had a win in his debut run in 11.15, narrowly over runner up Luke Schofield in 11.18, with Simon Claringbold, in very fit shape for the Canberra Marathon on Sunday week, 3rd in 12.57, his fastest time for manu months.

2010 Australian women’s mountain running champion Vanessa Haverd made a comeback to running after child birth with a win in 14.31, not far ahead of Julie Quinn on 14.48, and Anita Scherrer in 16.00.

For the first time ever there was a llama and a dachshund near the start. The llama did not run up the mountain but Heidi the dachshund did, with owner Toni  Brown finishing 6th female in 19.47.
