Seibold, Hanley and Archer in form for World Masters this Saturday

The World Masters Mountain Running Championships are being conducted this Saturday in Telfes, Austria on 2 uphill courses (11.2 km ascending 1100m and 7.2 km ascending 7600m. Known Australians participating are Kate Seibold W35, Catherine Hanley W55, Sue Archer W65 and Paul Archer M65 and will be competing on the 7.2 km course. Previous Australian World Masters Mountain Running champions include the legendary Louise Fairfax and Trevor Jacobs, and Sue Clark was 3rd in W40 in 2002. This year Daniel Green, another legend, has won the M40 World Masters Long Distance title in the Pike’s Peak ascent last month. In 2006 Trevor Jacobs won the M50 World Long Distance title, in the Pike’s Peak marathon. Kate Seibold, Catherine Hanley and Sue Archer are all in superb form so could add to the Australian medal tally.
