Rogaining champions Baldwin and Quinn win Black Mountain Run Up

Former world rogaining champions David Baldwin (14.10) and Julie Quinn (16.54) made it a family winning double as they were fastest male and female in sunny hot conditions in today’s Black Mtn Run Up. On Sunday Quinn had been fastest female in the Mt Majura Vineyard Two Peaks and Baldwin 8th male so they recovered well to back up.

Ultra runner Ben Grimshaw was runner up in the Run Up in 14.38 and veteran cycling, duathlon, marathon running, mountain running and Parkrunning champion Simon Claringbold was third in 14.52. When Simon has some spare time he rides his fat bike bicyle up Mt Kosciuszko in the snow or the sand of the beaches of the South Coast.

Mandy Smyth had a strong run to finish 2nd female in 18.01 and Kerrie Muir, just returned from winning an age group silver medal in the World Triathlon Championships, was 3rd in 18.22.
