SUNDAY  7 August 2016: 8.00am 42.2km bush marathon run; half marathon walk; 9.00am 21.1km half marathon run

This event raises funds to support the Australian mountain running team travelling to Europe for World Mountain Running Championships.

World Long Distance Mountain Running Championship, Gorski Marathon (42 km), Podbrfdo, Slovenia, 18 June. Website:
Victorian runner Kylee Woods represented Australia at this Championship which had 2800 metres of climb. Kylee finished a creditable 33rd in 5:33:35.

World Mountain Running Championships (uphill courses), Sapareva Banya, Bulgaria, 11 September. Website:
