Saturday 1 September: Kowen Moonlighter (Kowen trail runners): 6pm A night race on a 7.55 km loop (comprising bitumen, dirt road and single track in native forest) with the following events: a single loop of 7.55 km, a double loop of 15.1 km, a triple loop of 22.65 km, a solo 12 hour ultramarathon and a 12 hour relay ultra marathon for teams of 2-4. https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?E=30947
Sunday 14 October: Mt Majura Vineyard One Peak and Two Peaks, 12km and 20 km runs and walks over Mt Majura and Mt Ainslie (registration not yet open)
Sunday 4 November: Deep Space Mountain Marathon run, Half Marathon run & walk, 10 km and 5km runs & walks: a spectacular half marathon course from the Orroral Deep Space picnic ground to the Honeysuckle Creek Deep Space camp ground and return. (registration not yet open)
Sunday 16 December: Tour de Ridges 21k run, 15k and 10k runs and walks from Mawson sports fields over Farrer ridge, Wanniassa Hills and Isaacs Ridge. (registration not yet open)

International news:
I. 2018 World Mountain Running Championships, Andorra

II. 2019 World Trail Running Championship. The Trail World Championship is regulated by the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) under the patronage of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and with their technical partner the International Trail Running Association (ITRA). The 2019 Trail World Championships will be held in Mirandha do Corvo, Portugal on June 8 and will be a 50K with 2500 meters of vertical gain.
III. 2019 World Mountain Running Championships (up/down courses): Argentina in November. No details available yet. Once details are available, a venue, course and date will be set for the 2019 Australian Championships.
IV. 2019 World Long Distance Mountain Running Championships: The 2019 WMRA World Long Distance Mountain Running Championships will be hosted in Neuquen, Argentina in the Villa la Angostura region, at the K42 Adventure Marathon on November 16, 2019. The 42 km course contains 2192 meters of ascent & descent.
