Australian Mountain Running Championships on Mt Stromlo in the A.C.T. on 2 June

Australian Junior, Open and Veterans Mountain Running Championships

After a long planning gestation with a number of hiccups along the way, it is confirmed that the Australian Mountain Running Championships will be conducted on 2 June on a spectacular 4 km loop course starting and finishing at the mountain summit.

For the first time ever the World Mountain Running Championships in Poland on 8 September 2013 will start and finish on a mountain summit and will use a 4.1 km loop course. Website: http://wmrc2013.pl/ The Stromlo course provides a very similar experience.

8.45am Australian Junior Women’s 4 km & Veteran Women’s W60 and over 4 kms

8.50am Australian Open Women’s and W35 to W55 8 kms

9.20am Australian Junior Men’s 8 kms

9.45am Australian Open Men’s and M40 to M50 12 km; Australian M55 to M70 8kms; Australian M75 and over 4kms

The ACT Mountain Running Championships for juniors, open age groups and veterans will be held at 9am on Sunday 12 May over the same courses and will also be an Australian team selection event.
